Cleaning out my studio after I discovered a leak (probably due to Sandy) and found an old journal from U.C. Santa Cruz days. Couldn't stand reading it so I shredded it and put it in this box. I used some of the shredding as collage lines on the front. The colors remind me of the sun and sea and boardwalk area where I had a student apartment.
A Year in Color in a Box, 2013
Almost done. I painted a color a day for all of 2013. 20 more days to go. The surface is getting thick, the string matrix heavy with paint. Each page will be included inside the box.

All 365 days, each notated by month and placed inside. I used the same string matrix. It is inside also.
